| Climate Change Tower Meteorological Data (D2 - 30 minutes average). The Climate Change Tower Integrated Project (CCT-IP) represents the guide lines of the italian research in the arctic and aims to study the interaction between all the components of the climate system in the Arctic. | Inter-comparison of UV radiometers at Svalbard (icare)
| The main goal of the UltraViolet (UV)-ICARE project was to establish a network of UV-monitoring stations on Svalbard, which is optimally coordinated and homogenised. This implies harmonization of operational routines, data analysis and storage, including a thorough instrument inter-comparison. | Near-surface snow density at Concordia Station, Antarctica
| This dataset reports the snow density observations at the Concordia Station, Antarctica. A snow trench is dig once per month (or every three months during winter) in the clean area near the Station (< 1 km). Four measurements are taken inserting a core barrel (with a diameter of 4.5 cm and a length of 25 cm) horizontally into the snow at 10 cm depth, and four more measurements are taken inserting another core barrel (with a diameter of 3.7 cm and a length of 9.2 cm) vertically, from the surface to 10 cm depth. | Snow density, temperature, and hardness at Concordia Station, Antarctica
| This dataset reports the snow density, temperature and hardness observations from the surface to 1 m depth at the Concordia Station, Antarctica. A snow trench is dig once per month (or every three months during winter) in the clean area near the Station (< 1 km). The snow density measurements are taken inserting a core barrel (with a diameter of 4.5 cm and a length of 25 cm) horizontally into the snow every 10 cm from 0 to 1 m depth. The snow density is calculated from the weight.
